Good Faith Estimate

What is a Good Faith Estimate? Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected costs before receiving any healthcare service when you are uninsured or when you choose to pay out-of-pocket — even if you have insurance. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your care. The estimate is based on information known at the time of scheduling.
